Still here. . Still tired

Hi everyone. I've just gone over 6 weeks. I've learned to take one day at a time .... Each day I choose not to smoke. Its all good.

I am still constantly tired and lacking in motivation to move my body. Earlier this way I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Is it possible that nicotine, being a stimulant, masked the symptoms of an underactive thyroid and that's what I'm struggling with?

Anyway apart from that, I'm fine and happy and relieved to be free of smoking

Xxx

Lulu... Glad to see you are actually fine and winning the addiction... Yes nicotine masks a lot of problems up to a point were it is usually to late..Hope you get something to get over the tiredness... That was one part of this quitting thing that nearly got me under and now your state makes it more severe... Stay strong and congrats on 6 weeks.. !!

Thanks Hercu.

I see you are over a year. What does it feel like when you reach the 12 month quit anniversary?

Hi Lu... It feels amazing... From six months onward it is just getting better each day... You must really supplement all vitamin's A-Z... Strongs !!

hi Lulu_65

you sound very positive.that's good.

as for being tired.the underachieve thyroid will do that and many more horrible things.

(sorry-don't wanna worry you.)

I have just been told I now have Hashimoto

anyway.keep posting.

take care 😊

keep kicking 😎

Hi thinlizzy. I too was told after my last bloods I have hashimoto.

How are you feeling with yours? I've been on levothyroxine since April and honestly don't feel great. It was that which made me embrace the need to quit smoking but feel worse than ever 😄. Still glad to be not smoking tho.

I'm interested in how you are managing the condition.

Thyroid problems sometimes take very long to control. Adjusting the dosage of your medication can be tricky, and it takes such a long time to see results. I've gone through the ordeall with my Mom, that had her thyroid removed.

You'll need a lot of patience and good humor.

I wish you all the best and congrats for still being quit!

It is really fantastic that you are still not smoking. I think taking it each day at a time is the key. Hopefully they will get you something to manage your condition (which I am more or less sure is possible). Keep the positive attitude. You are doing so very well. You should be most proud of yourself. 😃😃

Sorry ladies, this is a known issue and has been reported to HU, think it is to do with the post been too long and reaching character limits, seems to be a common trend exceeding limits for everything on here..

Hey Lulu, well done on reaching 6 weeks with everything you have going on. I hope it settles down and you get the medication sorted and start to feel somewhat better and in control. Unfortunately, I have no experience in this.....
