how long on champix ?

is there anyone who quit with champix and for how long did you take your pills?

Hey Miranda, there is many who successfully stopped here with the aid of champix - I stopped cold turkey but from our members here, I think it is recommended to do the full 12 week course of the pills, some members extended the course further due to not being ready and some had to stop earlier due to the side effects and still successfully continued on in their journey....

That's me c.6months quit and i stopped (this time) with Champix. I did the full 12 week course and would highly recommend that others do the same. I have a few friends who stopped their champix course early and fell back into smoking. The one thing that hit me when on the course was that you still need willpower to stop (unfortunately!) and when I stopped champix I had pretty serious ciggy cravings.

If I'm honest, I still have them. The worst of the cravings went away after a few weeks of stopping champix. However, there's not a day that goes by that I don't think about having a smoke. These cravings are easily dealt with though.

Hi Miranda, I quit with Champix. I had persistent nausea with morning pill so I just took the evening pill (1 mg daily). So I ended up taking a lower dose daily for a longer period. I would also definitely recommend completing the course. Keep going!
