It does get easier

Just checking in to say I'm still smoke free on day 217. Can't believe I've made it this far. Longest quit for me. For all of you that are early in your quit just hang in there and take it day by day. Tell yourself "I will not smoke today ". I still have the occasional trigger that seems to come out of nowhere but it passes fairly quick. I know I don't post often but I do get on here and read. It keeps me motivated. Thanks everyone!!

Thanks for the advice - it really helps... I must admit, when I first quit, I though I wouldn't be on here as much as I have (I thought being reminded of it and talking about it constantly wouldn't help) but it has helped me so much to read about other peoples successes (and 'blips') and they say power is knowledge - without you guys I wouldn't have a clue what my mind was trying to tell me and it would have been a whole lot harder...

You are well on your way to a whole 12 months and I admire you and can't wait to be where you are! Thanks again and WELL DONE!
