Well for me it's like this, the corner shop is still trading, 86 steps, have looked in my little black book, but no answers there☹️☹️☹️.......

The urge is so very strong,  and while summer is approaching, I so feel it would and is, better for me, and mine to stay smoke free, all the logical reasons for pushing on with my quit for another day, are indeed  slipping away, this is not good, I so know the benefits of quitting, I guess that goes without saying, but to day is hard, not to mention living with my head in the fridge, as most people do.

I just needed to have a little rant.

You rant away Tracey3  bad days will come and go and tomorrow you will be so pleased you held on to your quit and didn't give in.  Keep your head in the fridge if it helps - I had my head in the fridge, the pantry and most definitely in the sweetie drawer lol ... I figure I can lose the extra weight when the time is right - and so can you.  In the meantime I can thoroughly recommend Worthers Creamy Filling sweets - yummy!!

Thats what we're here for Tracey3  , hope you felt somewhat better letting it out. ;)

Did you try the water juicer bottle I was telling you about before(?).   It has been a miracle for me especially at work, to deal with cravings and the false hunger pangs.   I put 2 slices of lemon, 3 leaves of mint and 2 slices of cucumber in mine and just top up with water throughout the day, really relieves it for me, can use whatever fruit you like...

PS That corner shop triumph badge is NOT been taken off you :D

Tracey3  be kind to yourself today. Remember that these days will pop up, and yes it would be easy to give in that urge.

The problem is that for about 5 mins that craving will disappear, yes it will. But then it will come back again, but stronger the next time. You will feel sick and dizzy. Whatever thought is in your head, about that cigarette, will NOT be the reality of it.

If you give in to the urge. It would be short term gain but long term loss.

You are stronger than this Tracey. Go a different way home from work. That corner shop will be there tomorrow, but only for milk and bread ;)

Tracey we all understand and are with you. The corner-shop blues are very familiar - but we know that you have the strength to push on through. Make it to tomorrow and the world will seem a different place and you will have achieved another milestone. Give in today and you will almost certainly feel miserable. Do anything you need so that you can get through it - rant, post, put your head in the fridge! We are with you each step of the way

Hi Tracey...What is 86 steps in the opposite direction of the corner shop...Maybe a beautiful flower, nice view, loving dog, a small child looking for a hug ...surely that might take the mind off the smokes ....

Stay strong and take a stroll in the opposite direction, you have already done it the day you have decided to quit !!

Remember everyday is different. What worries you today may be insignificant tomorrow.

When there are days like this, break it down. Into bite size chunks. Hour by hour. Repeat, I could smoke, if I wanted to, but I chose not to.

You have made it through most of the day, so if you can go to bed early. Another day to tick of the calendar as a win!!
