Over a month now and i been going through a lot of withdrawals but I was feeling a lot better from the coughing and wheezing. I don't but for this past three days I started couphing more especially in the morning wen I wake up and having some wheezing again. It worries me since I was already feeling so much better! Who can relate?

Hello and we'll done on getting this far!

I am afraid that I cannot speak from experience with regard to the coughing but I do know that many others have had the same sort of thing. A neighbour of mine told me she experienced no coughing at all until about 4 months later and then she could not stop! I think this may be different for everyone but what you describe certainly does not seem unusual. It takes a long time to clean out the lungs. Don't be put off, you're doing a great job.

Oh and your grammar is just fine! ☺☺

Let's hope that this is just another symptom of quitting! Even if it's not, try to remember that a respiratory infection would always be worse if you were still smoking. Not majorly helpful I know but it's all I've got! 😀

Whohoo Lashorty787 - you have reached your first huge milestone of 1 month smoke free! Be very proud and treat yourself as you deserve it.

With regards your cough, in your previous posts advised you have serious enough respiratory problems so the cough could be related to that - I am over 17 months quit and still get the coughing which I feel is a good sign that body is working hard repairing and trying to get all the mucus out of your system also there is awful bad doses going around at the moment (well here in Ireland). I am just over a flu that lasted 4 weeks and nearly everyone I know has it or had it, its the time of year for all these nasty germs :)

Keep up the great work and stay close to us...

hi Lashorty787

give it time.hopefully you will get beter soon.
