Prostate size reduction by hormone treatment - how long should this take?

Hi,

I am beginning hormone therapy, which should hopefully reduce the size of my prostate. I have been given 11.5mg of Leuprorelin and 2 weeks of bicalutamide to reduce the testosterone flair up. How long should this take to actually reduce the size of my prostate?

My understanding is at least 6months. Best to ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Thanks, I am actually on hormone therapy for other reasons, so I'm not sure if it's something I should raise with my doctor. So I'm hoping for this additional side benefit. Hard to find any clear information online for this, would it be 6 month for peak reduction or begin shrinking at 6 months?

I think peak reduction. But ask a pharmacist. They are often more approachable than doctors and have more time to spend with you.
