How long does sensitivity take to settle down after a circumcision?

Coming into my 5th day post surgery and still can’t let anything touch the glands on my penis, just curious when the sensitivity will die off as it’s very painful when touching,

Also does anyone know the average time on when the swelling starts to die down?

Much appreciated:)

For me sensitivity started to go down after day 2 and swelling started to go down after day 5. But before my operation I had read some articles and my doctor had also told me that it might take a week before sensitivity might improve and swelling could last for a week or so... Usually swelling indicates infection but it is normal after surgery. So go for a 1 week check up if you have one scheduled or at the very least perform a very thorough self examination and consult with your doctor. Also do you have a dressing on or something that regularly covers the glands? If so try taking it off and just sitting around allowing air to get to it, it may help.

Best of luck to you

I’ve read that swelling can take up to 6-8 weeks to come back to normal, swelling decreased last night a lot so fingers crossed!

Also the dressing fell off a day after the operation so I’ve been sitting naked for around 4-5 days now

Hopefully you aren't sitting naked all day that won't help, it needs to rub against clothes to get better sitting naked is good every now and then when the discomfort turns into pain.

It’s too painful to have any materials on it yet

Yeah man just give it a couple weeks. I'm sure some people have soreness for 2 weeks or so. Take some aleve, i think its antiflammatory too. stick it through ur getting there
