Husband with prostate cancer

my husband had his prostate removed two years ago. It was not contained, but there was nothing in his lymph nodes. His PSA numbers have always been undetectable until today. It came back as a 0.21. Thoughts? We see the dr on Monday.

Hi, what are the units of your measurement? Typical range is less than 4 (Ng/ml) so I presume you are using different units? Also I presume you know that ejaculation in the previous couple of days can affect the count adversely.

after his surgery it has been undetectable for 2 years. It is now 0.21 and I believe it should be 0.1 or less.

I hope that by now you will have seen the Dr and that appropriate tests have been decided upon. An elevated PSA following a removal indicates that the amount of prostate tissue is increasing in the body.
