Here's some soup I made tonight with a tin of organic mixed pulses onion garlic and tomatoes with chilli which I blended. Instead of croutons I often gently fry some chickpeas in a little olive oil, they are lovely healthy and gluten free.
I love these black chickpeas as well so will definitely buy some more and fried they are crispy and make a great snack on their own so are fantastic instead of croutons.
I had it with home made gluten free brown bread rolls which I made earlier today. π
Your soup looks great! I like your idea of using the Chickpeas as croutons - really good idea! Your home made gluten free brown bread roll looks perfectly baked. I bet it was tasty.
I love the ingredients in your soup and I didn't know you could get black chickpeas and what an excellent idea to fry them and use them instead of croutons.
Love the look of your homemade gluten free roll π

Now that's food for thought for me now. Now what will I be having next with my homemade soupπ
I didn't know black chickpeas even existed. I will look for them in the supermarket! It is great when you can learn about new ingredients and try them!
I have made an effort with what I found in my cupboards and have made a poor imitation. A can of mixed pulses, can chopped tomatoes with basil, garlic and a sweet potato. Oh and black pepper and veg stock cube. No chickpeas. No croutons. BUT I did have a go and it's not uneatable either.!!πΊ
