Hi all, I got diagnosed with non alcohol fatty liver disease on Monday.

My doctor thinks if I drop down by 2 stone from 19 to 17 stone this may reverse it.

I know what to eat avoiding sugar, achohol and restricting my carbs to under 30g a day.

Have you had yours reversed?

Thanks Richard

Bought some musli yesterday, here are a couple of meals

What kingsnorth said. You want low carb...no cereal or grains or sweetened products anymore. I'd have eggs.

You can have fat (surprisingly) and you can use a no calorie sweetener like monkfruit.

Sounds like you have the knowledge, as what I was told when I was diagnosed with same.

Hi Richard, are you familiar with the British Liver Trust? They have a lot of very useful info about MASLD and diet on their website. They also have a free nurse led helpline who can advise on diet too. I would also suggest trying Slimming World, you can grasp the basics fairly quickly without needing to go every week if you don't want to.

Not what you're looking for?
