I have ocd, ptsd, anxiety and depression. I m currently on 150 mgs of sertraline. My dr wants to put me on lamictal yet I cannot quite figure out what it is supposed to do. She simply said it is a mood stabilizer. Can anyone tell me what it has done for them?

I was prescribed this, but I didn't take it as I was about to try EMDR and didn't want to do two different things at once. I was prescribed it for emotional lability following a brain injury. The idea is that it sort of stops the ups being too high and the downs being too low. I had tried another similar medication before and it kind of dulled the bad feelings, but I stopped taking it because it dulled good feelings as well. My doctor was okay with all this being my decision.
