Knocks on my door

I’m alone at night with Rosie in a country home. After dark you don’t knock on someone’s door. Rosie and I had quite the adrenaline rush. She barked at the front door while I crept out the side with my Louisville slugger and railroad stake. I went around the back of my house to see who was there but they had gotten in a truck and left. Rosie and I stayed awake all night from the adrenaline. I feel like I have a hangover today. Rosie is just snoring away! I hate this backlash from tension and chemical spurts.

So sorry to hear you had an unexpected knock and shock therefore.... always good to have a dog - that's why I have my saving grace. <3

Well done on investigating - though I would not be so brave! Is your yard well lit?

No. I’m not very bright sometimes. 😊

Haha. Very brave ;) I always think of my now deceased maternal Grandma who dealt with cold callers [with slimy chat] in the evening, by absolutely calling them out "who are you, you dirty buggers!" or something related I remember hearing her say. I always thought afterwards, how yes, it was ok to call out the bad people and not to hide.

After my initial burglary trauma, I tried to become invisible. But doing so doesn't protect your kingdom.

Much blessings.

Blessings to you as well. That was my grandmother as well. I do miss her! Obviously I’m hers genetically. 😊

I was always surprised by her [my Grandma M's] strength - coming from a generation so seemingly suppressed or lacking rights of freedom. So she rocked my world when she spoke so strongly and up for herself, a widow, in her own house to a night caller.

Maybe that is when she felt her power and strength. I am glad you could witness a strong woman.

Thank you shy guy. I don’t suggest anyone do what I do but I’m very well trained. I’m a tiny woman. Being underestimated is first advantage. 💛. I’m my grandmas girl.

Not to make light of gun violence (God forbid I should be politically incorrect) but we moved from NJ to Florida and while living in the middle of nowhere (and owning 3 beagles who would merely lick someone to death) I was happy to be able to bear arms😱 Glad you’re safe, I enjoy your posts.
