Photo of my spaniel Colin taking a flying leap of faith

Colin was my beloved Spaniel who died 4 years ago.

He traveled all over Europe in our campervan with us visiting over 12 countries. He scared off an intruder once when I was in the cab on my own by springing up from where he was hidden on the floor growling and barking when the man came and looked into the window at night. He was after all a Springer Spaniel!!

He leapt off a high bridge once into a rocky mountain stream to try to catch a 🦆 which he missed I am pleased to say. Luckily he was not injured.

However he was afraid to be left alone or to go within 100 metres of a vet.

He was the most loving dog you would be likely to meet and such a loyal companion but he had his fears and anxieties.

Sometimes like Colin at this stream in Snowdonia, you just have to take a leap of faith and see where it gets you.

This is an amazing feat of achievement - taking such a leap - what a photo! Awesome to be reminded by Nature and animals that fears can be overcome by love, joy and self-belief. What a dog...

And what a lucky dog to have shared your wonderful journeys along the way in your camper van :)
