Alternative to oral bisphosphonates
I may have to come off Prolia and I’m aware of possible rebound
fractures
if you don’t take a relay medication of bisphosohonates. I’m unable to tolerate oral bisphosohonates. My question is what can I take? Or am I doomed to having yet more
fractures
.

A DEXA scan in 2022 revealed high possibility of bone
fractures
; 2023, fell from a height of 3ft and broke the femur. Now on Prolia, vitamin d3, k2, and calcium. Anxious to begin sustained exercise, essential for osteoporosis, though still recovering from breakage. 2022 to 2024 PSA remains at 0.01.

Can PMR weakened muscle cause curvature of the spine?
I found the Guy’s and St Thomas’ website and the description of Vertebral Compression
fractures
seemed to fit my symptoms exactly.

10th spinal fracture….
that MRI and this is what some of it says MRI Spine Lumbar and Sacral : Compared to the previous scan dated 29.05.22, there is evidence of T1w hypointense and T2w/STIR hyperintense lesion at L1 vertebral body, concurrent to decrease in vertebral body height, suspicious in first hypothesis for acute

Atypical femoral fracture symptoms
Does anyone have any experience of what the symptoms of these
fractures
are? I do also have a compression fracture at L1 so it could be related to that. I have booked to see a different physio next week. Thanks

What are the best supplements for osteopenia
I've been told by my Primary Dr that I have "high risk for
fractures
" and to start taking Fosomax, to which I said no after reading about side effects. Please advise what daily supplements you take for osteopenia. Many thanks!

Please does anyone know a private Rheumatologist in Cornwall or Devon who I would be able to go and discuss my osteoporosis with? Thank you.
This may well be impossible if I get
fractures
. 8.-regular periods until easy menopause at 53 years old. 9.-I have a bad family history of osteoporosis in my maternal side of the family and my older sister. 10.

Mum's had a vertebral fracture after 6 years on prolia, and symptoms of another - do people get such

(compression) when they aren't on any bone drugs? do people get such multiple
fractures
when they aren't on any bone drugs?!

Denosumab vs Bisphosphonates
My metalwork did not hold, so following a further 2
fractures
, I had a T4-L4 spinal fusion. I had a very prolonged hospital stay of 5 months, due to sepsis, and a further 3 months in a spinal rehab unit. During this time L4 at the bottom of the construct fractured badly.

went off Xgeva for a year, have to go back on it. Ideas or tips helpful
I was put on Xgeva for a couple of years and later read on Xgeva’s website that being on it long term is likely to increase risk of
fractures
substantially, not to mention increase risk of
fractures
in random places (like the thigh).

Thinking about stopping Xgeva
One think I might add is I had two compression
fractures
back when my Psa was 5664 and I started Lupron. TIA.
