that means you should be able to see images on the screen - it would interest me as i used to e a senior healthcare assistant before i became to ill to work. xx

Yes I have had one.it was okay.Had to have a course of antibiotics afterwards. Mine was done due to recurrent infections. I had a sling fitted which stopped the incontinence. I still get infections but not as many.Hope all goes well x

Hi, i had a cystoscopy a couple of weeks ago, its not as bad as i had built it up to be in my mind. Its a bit sore when passing urine for a day or two after. Ive now got to have a general next friday so they can do a biopsy. Hope it goes ok for you, tracey xxx

Hi. If any good came out of getting PMR it was having a full body scan only to find that I had a tumour in my bladder - caught just in time , I think.

I have had several cystoscopy procedures now and you really don't feel any discomfort.the modern gear is very much more patient friendly than it used to be. I have suffered with kidney stones for the last 45 years - the equipment they used back then would make your eyes water !!

Yes, I've had a couple of cystoscopies, both of them I was awake, one of them without any anaesthetic at all and the other with a spinal anaesthetic because they were also going to stretch the urethra. No problems with the procedure itself, interesting to see the pictures on the screen. The second one showed that I have interstitial cystitis, which is quite common with people with fibromyalgia, the inner lining of the bladder is damaged, and its horrible, just like fibro. I had to take antibiotics for a couple of days after each procedure, it really is nothing to worry about.
