Hello peeps hope everyone is as well as can be.... i just asking if anyone has had to go thru a re assessment for their pip after a review form of checking your getting the right award or something, i sent it in last month with 2 changes on it 1 was regarding my eating habbit had improved coz i wasnt eating at the time of claim an the other is i have now moved to a bungalow so not drastic changes but still this the only change i now have to be re assessed an im a little anxious to say the least i wonder has anyone been thru this on their first year claim before ? 😩
Has anyone had a Re assessment for pip - Fibromyalgia Acti...
Has anyone had a Re assessment for pip
Hi Hidden the reassessment may be due to the fact you told them things had changed with you. They will now need to reassess to see if you need further help. If you had put no change I'm guessing there wouldn't have been a reassessment. I hope you have a nice day

Thanks for replies Dizzytwo and Ajay575, i guess maybe it is some kind of pot luck as there are a mixture of outcomes after reviews i just didnt think my changes were different except the fact of eating more now an a change of address to a more appropriate accomodation referred by my OT, also thought it was to be next year at the end of my award ive no idea when im getting this assessment as i was told over the phone that a request has been put on the 23 march so im waiting to hear when this will be wouldnt be im guessing it will in the next few weeks or will it be next year ive no idea oh well gotta be done i suppose thanks for replies and advice peeps 🙂
Hi
Its normal to go for assessment after a PIP review not many people get away without it
Just be careful as you say things have improved its very likely your award will change as well
Your eating habits are better so you may lose points in this area and has a bungalow improved things a lot or just made things easier.
Hi Rose54 thank u for yr reply yes i reported that i now have a couple of liquid meals a day instead if a couple a week an i wrote in the extra information box at the end that i have now moved into a bungalow said to more suitable for my needs so dont think id said easier or harder for this the only easier was my swallowing food is difficult so im on more liquid meals than i was last year oh well i only told the truth so nothing more i can do about im still using my aids etc for being mobile an i just no longer have to struggle with the stairs so thats good , thanks again for yr reply just gave to see what they do next 🙂
Well peeps got my date thru its on the 23rd april a home assessment and it says to gather any info new or that ive sent in before as long as not more than 2 years old i would of thought they would need new reports etc so i was going to ask my doc for another updated letter and my medical notes as my mum was given her medical notes dating back to 1990,s i was wondering is this acceptable would anyone know ? I so have reports from last year an one letter from about 6 months ago supported from my doc for my esa assessment would i be able to use this? Thanks to anyones advice these things are so daunting lots of assessments to go thru understand they have to make sure we are genuine etc but still quite daunting with all the assessor stories out there 😣
Hi replying to Dizzy two
yes me ,it’s the same as the first assessment ,if you kept a copy of your first form just have a look at the area you stressed on and emphasise where things have got worse , your not lying so don’t worry you might come out with more than when you went in ,they won’t take what you get now off you ,plus they extend when your renewal date will be , please don’t worry , I know it’s scary but stand your ground your illness is not going away, don’t lift arms and things up just say I’m not doing it as it causes to much pain and I’m in enough pain now, please remember when she hands you something let her reach out to you she is trying to see if you can do it or not think of the pain you will put yourself through.
good luck ,don’t stress and let us know how you do .xxx
