HI

I find talking to myself a great option, i can ignore myself if i get on my nerves , not do as i tell myself in fact whatever i want

What other health issues do you have ?

I have fibro , an inflammatory arthritis, asthma , ibs and a birth defect affecting my walking etc

I too have a sense of humour and am a bit naughty at times

take care xx J

Have you had any tests?

sandra.

Hello Earthangel, so good to see you in our lovely forum. So sorry to hear you've lost your voice. Presumably this is after a cold or virus?! If not please see your GP to make sure this isn't being caused by something else so you get the appropriate meds and treatment.

I hope you feel better really soon.

Hi ,

Sorry to hear you have lost your voice. I just love listening to Irish accents whether southern or northern and, as you say, it is in the Irish DNA to be full of blarney! However, joking aside, like Libs and Sandra ( above) I am very concerned to hear that it has gone on so long.

Have you a good GP? I hope you get the prob. sorted asap so that you can start to be your jokey self once more!

Do let us know how you get on.

On a lighter note you must know some good jokes (Irish or otherwise) which might cheer us all up on such a bitterly cold day!

Do take care. Love and hugs Saskia. XX

Earthangel I can so totally emphasise with losing your voice for that amount of time. I once tried to say good night to my deaf stepdad and heard nothing so had to mimic myself. I also lost my voice one summer when we went motor caravanning in the summer and I was navigating which was not funny and by the time I returned to uni in October still had no voice so had to sit near the tutor in seminars so that she could hear me and tell the rest of the group what I had said! Eventually I decided to force my voice out which was not an ideal solution but I had got so fed up of the silent world and scared that that was all it would ever be. Good luck with finidng yours, especially if the doctor can't help as they couldn't with me.

Not what you're looking for?
