I received my letter telling me i am not entitled to esa despite suffering from fibro, have athritis in both my hands and back ( also have bowel problems and am attending my doctor concerning my throat ) I am 57yrs old can anyone tell me how to appeal this decision

Just had exact same thing happen to me (I'm 57 too). Get G24 form from Job Centre then go to Citizens Advice. They will complete it for you and give you the name/address/phone number of a Society in your area who will help you should it go to appeal. The G24 is the first step and is asking for the decision to be re-visited. Also, you should apply for either Working Tax Credits if you/your partner are working or Pension Tax Credits if your partner is of Pension age. If neither of these benefits apply to you, you could apply for Income Support.

hi marydoll so sorry to hear that you weren't successful in getting ESA.did you get a letter from your doctor to back up your claim?i would go to the CAB.
