It could be a fibro symptom. I joke that my thermostat has only two settings boiling hot or freezing cold. It could also be a symptom of thyroid , anemia or other problems, even medication. My friend who had thyroid problems was always complaining about being frozen until she was diagnosed and medication stablised her body. It might be worth mentioning to your doctor.

Good luck as It is a horrible feeling. I normally dont get warm in the winter until I am cuddled up in bed with my electric blanket on so you have my sympathy. X

Ahhh the dreaded WTS (wonky thermostat syndrome). Quite a few of us fibro folk suffer with it. I'm the same although usually too hot in winter and too cold in summer. I have raynauds which doesn't help. My fingers are usually either white or a very fetching blue colour.

Please check with your GP to make sure that your blood pressure is ok and there is nothing other than fibro responsible for your symptoms. We are all guilty of blaming fibro for absolutely everything and often delay in checking new symptoms out.

Hope you get some relief soon.

Interesting about the WTS (wonky thermostat syndrome). I had that after I fractured my skull in 1998. I don't think the problem has ever gone away. I have Fibro as well.

not very pleasant is it and it seems to be quite random for me. Still fibro is anything but predictable!

it might be thyroid related. I’ve had that several times and finally told my doctor. He did bloodwork that showed I had low thyroid levels. Placed me on meds. Also increased fatigue was another symptom.

Whatever the cause I’m sorry. Hope you recover soon.

Love and prayers.

I always say my thermostat doesn’t work properly. Funny even as a kid I used to get so cold I’d stand with my bum pressed against a radiator or with my back to a fire.

Once I even melted my polyester dressing gown!

These days I tend to dress in layers so I can peel off or layer up depending how I feel. I’ve also made myself so many pairs of fingerless gloves or wrist warmers to wear in the house - they help!

You have my sympathy on this too! I'm either too blooming hot or too blooming cold 😖. I don't have any of the issues above so I blame my fibro but agree with the others we should make sure it's not something else. Best of luck, warm hugs 🤗

Fibromyalgia stops the body from regulating body temperature properly.Hence to hot or cold feelings.

Has been known also to put one in a constant cold state or to feel overheated.

Kindest Regards

I'm the complete opposite, always hot and have my fan going all year round. Hope you get warm soon. Xxx

Exactly! Always hypodermically cold - Reynauds in overdrive. Get sleepy and bit confused when I get extremely cold .Thick jumpers and socks in summer. Very rarely I chronically overheat and pass out. Nothing in between. Nothing!

Hypothermic not hyperdermic!!!!

I find cold weather exacerbates my Fibromalgia so i wear gloves if required indoors and use a plug in radiator in the room im in so i dont have the heating on in all rooms. Wearing lots of layers results in me feeling too hot so i wrap up using a blanket...looking forward to the warmer months.

Could be good old wonky thermostat, mine is usually full on roasting hot but occasionally when I do get the freezing just can't heat up my heated throw is a god send. If you've not tried one, I definitely recommend getting one.
