Got the dreaded brown envelope this morning.....wondered what thrills the DWP had for me, but, SHOCK!!! The letter said that because of the cold weather they will pay me each week the temperature falls below a certain level!! Well, slap me senseless! I couldn't believe it!! Not bad eh?? XXXX

It's very good that we get the cold weather payment - I am sure that it saves lives in many cases. So nice to get a brown envelope that doesn't contain bad news.

Yeah we got a cold weather payment too. So I just added it to what I was already putting on my gas card and then into the meter. Comes in handy I can tell you, great news xxxxx

Such a relief as I've been stressing over the amount of gas I must have been using lately! I'd forgotten about the brown envelope, thanks for the reminder as I'm waiting to hear about ESA decision. I'll try not to get too stressed next time I see a brown envelope.

Isn't it amazing that a little Brown Envelope, can affect us so much, even to the point of causing a flare up, and making us feel awful, I know what I would like to do with the brown envelopes. !!!!!!!
