My hip pain is awful. I have bought a heat mat and wrap it on my hips and it helps enough to get to sleep. I have had to get one with a timer so it shuts off. I also take painkillers- i didnt think about a topical painkiller though - good shout i will try that too

Hi Princessfoo 🤗🌿🌸🦋
A word of caution about the topical painkillers.
It is okay to use them but not with your heat mat.
To do so will cook the meat off of your bones.
Keep them as separate treatments and you will be safe. Also wait for 8 hours after using your painkiller washing the area good/drying off before using heat mat again.
Better safe than sorry as my brother fell asleep with his heat mat on when he woke up he had suffered that burned deep wound on his side. He is diabetic and literally the meat cooked several inches into his side. Took months to heal.
Take care stay safe and best wishes for relief soon.

a cheat i found was because baths were pretty much ruled out by inability to get in and out of the bath without a titanic struggle, radox bubble baths can be used with showergel, so the muscle relax one can really help, I get fm pains really badly in my hips, and the muscles tighten which pull on everything, so using that when I shower [also get a shower chair, I think they should be included because they're so awesome, even if you don't need one, it's so much easier for just about everything] helpsdon't use tiger balm there - it's great for almost all other muscle aches and isn't so heavily medicated - but it spreads and it burns like the devil if it gets into places its not supposed to be used, like your crotch - learn from my errors
Sounds nice, I just do what make me comfortable. I am especially fond of the old settee and have commented about this before, leap on and wrap up in a big blanket with a cat parked on my head. Definitely brings on sleep.
