I take Amitriptyline and Tramadol but use Cocodamol also for extra relief when needed, but your mileage may vary.
Wouldnt hurt to call your surgery (or pharmacist) to check first.

I'd phone a pharmacist for advice, they're the experts at drug interactions and will be able to advise. I find soluble paracetamol with caffeine ( no good without the caffeine) works well.
Thank you x
Yes you can take co codomol along side them both I was on all three for months , hope your pain eases soon xx
You could add in a anti inflammatory or perhaps a muscle relaxant. Both are worth discussion with your GP.
I take gabapentin, baclofen, oramorph, paracetamol, naproxen and amytriptiline but try to stay away from the oramorph cos it constipates me!! I have laxatives so it wouldn’t do you any harm having co codamol. Just give the GP a quick ring first though for a symptom and medication review as it would be best to see them before adding something to your mix XX 😘
Thank you just waiting for a ring back off my gp in so much pain today... got my aunties funeral so need sumthn to ease the pain xx
Awwww really sorry to hear that. Hope everything goes well today and hope you get some pain relief xx take care xx
Lord what a cocktail Alibobs is that all for fibro or other illnesses?
I have m.e, fibro, and peripheral nerve Hyperexcitability. Just had a referral to a neurologist as having mini seizures and have hip impingement so may need surgery on that!! Feel like I’m an old lady hehe and I’m 33 this week!! My mum is 70 and runs rings around me!! Xx
Hi, I am in the middle of a flare up. I take 2700mg gabapentin, 30 mg amiriptyline, naproxen, dulixetine go was going to give me cocodamol but couldn't so she changed naproxen to diclofenac but say no change yet. So I know cocodamol is a no for me anyway. Hopefully you will feel better soon.
Im on 900mg of Gabapentin an 20mg Amitriptyline a day... but only just gone bak on the Amitriptyline as my doctor took me off them but ad to put mebak on them cos my sciatica kikd off. Im just hoping i get a ring back off my gp soon x hope ur pain eases soon for you x
Dawn- what have you tried in conventional pain relief ?just co cod? gabapent are not for evryone how are you coping with them? Drowsy, fibro fog in full abundance? Amitrip are really for night time sleeping, I wonder if your gp or nurse should do a medication review for you and sort out better time schedule to get better eefect..
Ask your doctor & pharmacist & get another opinion. There has been recent reports of people dying from mixing drugs, especially with the use of Gabapentine. It is so easy to take too much because the pain can be unbearable.
Also, check & check again the strengths of all your Meds as it can be so easy to confuse. I mistakenly took 3 Dothepin which were 75mg each thinking that they were 25mg tablets. My liver suffered horribly.

25th September 2017 news reports.....
UK Government to reclassify Pregabalin and Gabapentin as a class 'C' controlled substance.....please read,& like I said before, check the dosage of all indicpvidual tablets that you take.

I was told, when I could no longer take anti-inflammatories, that co-codomal was no use with gabapentin by my GP (not sure why but they said one cancelled out the other or something?). My mum takes both but in very low dosages. I would personally talk to a chemist or GP. I would also echo what somebody above said - check and double check your dosages and what you take each day and when if you are taking a lot of pain meds, it's easy to forget what you've taken. I once accidentally took 4 gapapentin one morning (I usually take 2 x 300 mg am and 2 x 500 mg paracetamol), because I got in a mix-up - i.e. I took 2 then 2 again, thinking I'd taken just my paracetamol, it was only when I almost fell asleep at work that I realised.
Doctor as said not to take cocodamol just stick with paracetamol. Pain as eased slightly.
Thank you everyone for replying gentle hugs to you all xXx
