Chronic Pain Course Week 2

Another enjoyable useful course this week. It has come from Stanford University so is used in America and Canada and well as the UK. I think I’m finding it useful too cause I was only diagnosed 4 months ago so this is the first help I’ve had (apart from on here and own research). This week we learnt about managing symptoms, dealing with emotions, physical activity, fatigue management and made another action plan. If anyone would like to know more about the course feel free to message me. Gentle hugs 😀😀

Thanks Ajay. 3 people didn’t turn up from last week. One was ill but don’t know what happened to the other two 😀😀

I was offered a two week residential chronic plain management course, but I can’t take that much time off of work, it’s also in London so I would have any visitors. So I’m glad you’re getting on with yours. Sending gentle hugs 🤗

That’s a shame but residential sounds tricky and hard to get too if you don’t live close by. It’s only the second one they’ve run in my area so I’m lucky to be on it. Hope you find something suitable soon 😀😀

It could be difficult for some sharing with others but it’s good knowing everyone feels the same and there’s no judgement. They gave us a relaxation cd today too so hoping that will help. 😀😀

The courses from Stanford are good. My daughter went on one for MS and I did the Arthritis course. Since then I have been on two other courses for chronic illness and helped to run one. I always learn really useful things from the other people on the course. Hope yours continues to go well
