Hi, I will be interested to know too. I have sent my form off which I found really difficult to do. I don't have a date for my consultation but I am getting nervous. It is very hard to convey exactly just how this condition impacts our life. The only advice I could give you at the moment is to be completely honest. I'm sure I will get upset during my phone call. Wishing you all the best and I'm sure lots of people on this site will be able to give you lots of helpful info.

Hi BLOSSOMing - No-one can know what questions will be asked as we don't know how your disability affects you. As mentioned above, the questions will however relate to your initial PIP claim pack. If you've kept a copy of the 'How your disability affects you' booklet, do read through that beforehand.

With your phone assessment there will not be time to go through everything you wrote, so questions will relate to where more info is needed. With these questions, especially if you hadn't already done so in your initial claim, do try & give a couple of detailed examples of the problems you face, e.g. say why you had difficulty attempting, or doing an activity, what exactly happened, & how did it make you feel afterwards, if this applies. You should also say if you could do the activity 'reliably,' i.e. to an acceptable standard, could you do it safely, did it take you longer than someone who doesn't have your problems, &, where applicable, could you repeat the activity as often as you'd like? Please read through the following to see what may apply to yourself, & read the notes at the end. Please see: cambridgeshire.gov.uk/asset...

Do ask the assessor to repeat any questions if needed. If you can have someone there supporting you that would also be great. Just mention if you've put your phone on speaker phone so they can also participate if needed.

Hello, thanks. I will ask my husband or son to be with me. And thanks for the link. I will go through it...sending warm hugs

Hi I sat in with someone I know who had a telephone assessment last week. The assessor was a nurse who went through the form with my friend asking her about what she had written on the form. Asked about how long it took her to do things etc... all from her claim form. About medications etc. The interview took an hour and a half. It seemed alright from listening in and the assessor said the form would now be sent to DWP with the completed answers on for their decision which could be about 8 weeks. So that is as near to an explanation as I know for a fact and not surmising. Good luck with your assessment MistyA x

I think it is really stupid doing this on the phone, why cant they wait until the viris has gone then do home visits like before, once they have done this it will be the new way of Getting PIP forever. I have been on PIP for 4 years no changes maybe a little worse but no changes for the better thats for sure. Mine is Due early next year. Good luck to you I hope all goes well for you, and please let us know what stupid questions they ask.

Hello all, just finished the pip consultation thanks for the support. The questions was too much! Spend like 2 hrs! But I took a break like 3 times. I am to wait 8 weeks for reply. All the questions was based on my application. Questions very confusing because he keep on repeating same questions in different ways maybe to trip me....well, that is done now. Let the waiting game begins!
