Hi everyone. I have been told by the rheumatologist the swelling and pain in my hand and shoulder was due to inflammation. After stopping salt( which I loved) and taking vitamin c, they are now so much better. I don't know if it will work for anyone else, but I got sick of being told what it was but no idea why it was there or how to get rid of it.
Inflammation : Hi everyone. I have been... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
Inflammation
I too have a very low salt diet as it also causes fluid retention and puffy hands- did the rheumo doc prescribe any anti inflamamtory pills for you? Did you take Vit C yourself or was it recommended? be careful topping up vits if our bodies dont need it you can overdose and the effects of reversing it are awful. Once you feel OK you can ask your gp to test your vit and mineral levels as sometimes iron is low and can cause tiredness, if you need any he will give you high strength avoid buying form High St shops they are as rip off
Hi nursegladys nobody told me to reduce salt, but everything I present with, they just say it's inflammation. They don't know why. To tell the truth they don't seem interested. My son is into fitness and he's been on at me for years to give it up so I finally did. My feet aren't as painful and my knees, hands and shoulders are so much better. The vitamin c was just to try to keep colds at bay as I always seem to have one.
