Hi all I know I not been around for a while but now I am struggling to cope. I have chronic pain all over my body and I am going into muscle spasms regularly now. I am one of those people who are trying to get work but I don't think it will happen.

Cure for spasms

Have you tried magnesium supplements. Worth a go for a month or so
I suffer badly with spasms. My dr prescribes me Baclofen which are muscle relaxants.
quinine ! I got it prescribed by the doctors and it’s helped ease the muscle spasms 👍 sending love to you. I know how tiring it is. Hope you’re ok 😊
Quinine is not good if you also have skin problems. Even the small amount in tonic water. I have idiopathic urticaria and was told that by the dermatologist.
Baclofen is really good, and doctors seem happy to prescribe it unlike some others I could mention. Mebeverine as well, I think that’s how you spell it, my other half gets it for IBS cramps but it really helps my legs, it’s an antispasmodic. And magnesium supplements, and make sure you’re getting enough potassium.
Magnesium supplements, (glycinate or citrate), magnesium/malic acid supplement, topical magnesium cream or oil, Epsom salt foot soaks, Baclofen (I take this), Skelaxin, stretching exercises especially calves and hamstrings.
It’s not available on the NHS but through my private pain consultant I have a prescription for Xanax. It’s a benzodiazepine so not popular with doctors as it’s addictive. However, I found it to be really good when the spams become unbearable.
Diazapam, which is available on the NHS, may work too but isn’t as effective for me. An American chiropractor told me about using benzos for muscle spasms & it’s helped me a great deal. Just tricky & expensive privately. Diazapam from the GP might work so maybe start there. I have been prescribed Baclofen too.
