I wonder if anyone can help me I get bouts of freezing back and my skull seems to creep I sit with a blanket over me to try to warm up but it takes a couple of hours to warm back up. It has just started in the last two days and has now got me worried. I even have the heating on and still remain so cold and shivering.

Freezing cold
Hi
I get a cold face but mainly lips and chin .. sometimes it down the right hand side of my face and I can't use my mouth for anything .. lately it has been more in my chin but my lips are usually blue all the time and feel freezing .... so it just means I can't drink hot stuff or if I do I need to use a straw ... I hope you can resolve this .. or maybe it is just a part of fibro .. xx
So sorry to hear your suffering with the cold. I am the same. I feel the cold awful at times.
But if this is a new symptom for you and it gets worse please get it checked out with your GP. It could be just the start of a cold. But always best to make sure. If in doubt get it checked out. That's my mantra. π€π€

Hi Kittykack.
I too get a creeping, pulsing head. As well as Tinnitis. I had an x-ray,which revealed 'Loss of Cervical Lordosis'. Apparently there are a lot of anatomical problems which could arise from how we hold our bodies, due to pain, & how we compensate the pain. So a pain on the left, would mean you put more pressure on the right hand side and vice versa. No pain killers really help the throbbing in my head. When I'm tired the throbbing is excruciating. I use heated wheat & Lavender pillows,& a hot water bottle to try to alleviate the pain & warm up. So the pain could be due to trapped nerves. Try to get some investigative work done.
Love & light πΊ
Thank you for your reply eclemanta I do have the wheat slippers and find them really good for my freezing feet but I will try to get a wheaty for my neck and see if that helps. I am back to see my Dr on 30th so will give her all my symptoms and see if she has any suggestions. X
Hi Kittyjack π ~ I think it's perhaps all part of advancing Fibro. I've had M.E./Fibro for 30 years, and have totally lost the ability to 'know' when I'm getting too cold. By the time I do know, it's too late, and I'm shaking, rattling and rolling with shudders of cold and it takes many hours to heat up again ~ and I usually have the heating on at low 24/7/365 to try to avoid the problem, but if my feet get cold (am mainly in bed with a hot water bottle) ~ I'm doomed to deal with the problem.
I've got problems with cracked discs in my neck, so don't know if that contributes to the problem as well?
As has been mentioned ~ IF in doubt, please consult your Doc? Barbara xx
Thank you for your reply Barbara that sounds very similar to me I also have reynard phenomenon and my right foot gets that cold that it goes numb I think I agree that it could be the more advanced stages with having fibro for so long. Kind regards Kitty x
With you having RP, I'd definitely see the Doc..! Please? B xx
I am seeing the Dr on the 30th Barbara and will also explain the hot flushes from my chest up xx
Hi Kitty ~ any more severe instances in the meantime ~ could you try to get an emergency appointment, and/or let the doc see exactly what's happening, when it's happening? Our bodies are such complicated instruments of torture at times, aren't they just! ππ
I certainly will Brabara and thank you for your concern and kindness x
Take care Sweetie ~ go gently on yourself π B xx
Many thanks it makes me feel as though I belong when you suffer the same pain as others I hope you are well x
Gentle (((HUGS))) Kitty ~ you're never alone, please be assured of that? ππππ
I'm still a bit weakened by the Norovirus but I'm doing okay, thanks Sweetie π. Forgot to take my meds earlier this evening, so I'd call that a good day. Have taken them now though wishing I hadn't forgotten! lol. How had your day been? If you ever want to talk, just PM me? With love, Barbara xx
Hun that needs a gp intervention a,.s,a.p it is prob. not fibro..
Thank you nurseGladys I am seeing the Dr on the 30th xx
Hi kittyjack, sometimes I get really cold and can't warm up, other times so hot, head starts sweating and can't cool down, I get creeping feeling in back of neck, really do not like it. Could be you are really overtired that can cause me to feel cold, if 2 days maybe you have a bug and this is beginni g of it. Maybe try snuggling down in bed, do you have a heated blanket or similar ? Be gentle with yourself.
Do you take your temperature first thing before getting up/ moving? I have hypothyroidism and fibromyalgia-I associate the 'always' feeling cold with my hypothyroidism, sweating profusely from head with fibromyalgia. Don't know if I am correct , but have you ever thought you might have hypothyroidism ( needs blood tests)?
I was thinking the same
Sorry Judith I have just seen this. I have never heard of hypothordisim but I will look it up and thank you for your kind help x

I mentioned thyroid to you on the PAS Forum - see your post above
Better late than never....just feeling cold when all around you are complaining of heat is characteristic symptom of hypothyroidism, so worth getting proper check, ideally not just TSH and possibly T4 that your Gp might do free, but if they come back ok( but post them on this forum anyway), worth paying out for private thyroid test with FT3 and two thyroid autoimmune antibodies too!
