Can anyone please let me know what you do to keep your feet warm as I am struggling to keep my feet warm. At night my feet can't get warm, if I try to warm them up to fast I get cramps in both legs and end up going back downstairs to start again

Cold feet help
Hi there. I have the same problem especially in bed. I was talking to my podiatrist only the other day and she suggested wearing cashmere socks. They're not cheap but she feels they may help. I'm just waiting for delivery Also capsicum cream that can be gently massaged in. Again I'm just waiting for delivery
I'm hoping it might help. Just a suggestion of something you might want to think about
OK thanks so much appreciated I will try the capsicum cream as we have some already and see if it will help. Half the problem is the house as it is pre 1940s so it's high ceilings and the old tiles but there is a lot of insulation in the loft and I am waiting to see if I can get wall cavity insulation. On the outside of the house
Try wearing socks in bed. I have found it helps. Not only do my feet keep warm but the pins and needles in my legs seem to ease. Someone has recommended cashmere socks, and they are probably the best, but expensive. A cheaper alternative worth trying are bamboo socks, which are cosy and warm.
OK thanks so much appreciated I will try to get some bamboo socks and see as I already have socks on but within 5 minutes of getting into bed my feet and legs start to play up
Hi, if the socks aren't helping then maybe it's more of a circulatory problem?
Try raising your ankles and feet on a pillow at the bottom of the bed..put the pillow inside the sheets & covers. it's worth trying . I've got raynauds so my hands and feet are usually cold... a delightful shade of red and blue. when really cold they go more white. Dr prescribed nefedipine ... they're awful pills with horrible side effects..... don't take them any more.
Actually my feet are grounds for divorce!!! xx
I have had that problem and have tried socks and hot water bottle at night, it helps but only a little, now I seem to have solved the problem, by using two things, 1) a grounding sheet on my bed, and 2) taking Nattokinase first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, it took about 4-5 Months, but now the sensation has almost gone, and does not bother me any more.
the Grounding sheet on the bed is supposed to help with inflammation, and I have found that I sleep better, again it took a while.
I actually started the Nattokinase as it is purported to dissolve the fibrin in the blood, which is one of the things that people with fibro are supposed to have too much of, and also it dissolves the protein spikes caused by the covid vaccine, which I had problematic reaction to, between the two of them the problem of cold feet (neuropathy) has almost gone.
if you are getting Cramp it would indicate that your body needs more magnesium, I take Magnesium malate in the morning and Magnesium taurate an hour before bed to help sleep. Hope this is useful
Try sitting with your feet on a hot water bottle with socks on the heat travel right through your body and helps blood flow and can help with pain aswell.I also use magnesium oil spray for pain, it's helped me immensely especially on my neck and shoulders.
Hope this helps at least one person.
I guess it depends whether the cold is air cold or is it coming from inside your system. If it is due to a cold atmosphere I would try wearing a pair of nylon pop socks with a pair of wool knee socks over the top. Getting your feet warmed up first with a hot water bottle would probably help.If it comes from inside then I think the alternative is seeing your doctor for possible medication.
HiI have recently invested in a electric blanket as I get so cold especially in winter which has been my best idea yet! I also wear socks when weather is particularly cold. I have just been given some teddy bedding as a present which I have been told is very good at keeping one warm in the cold winter months. I haven't tried the bedding yet but am hoping that it will help to keep me toasty.
I take magnesium every night as well to help with fibro.
Also take tramadol and paracetamol just before bed to help with the pains I have.
I find it very hard to get to sleep if im cold or in pain .
Like the tesco motto every little bit helps!
It is trial and error and we are all different. I hope that you find what helps you.

Try putting your feet with socks on a hot water bottle it helps blood flow and works for me, and helps with stiffness in the mornings Kept well
