Unfortunately I am so allergic to medication, my GP won't give me anything. I just try to get along as best I can. I have aids to help me round the house and a carer. If the pain gets too bad I am given a course of something stronger than paracetamol, but I can't take it for very long.

Hard for me to say.. I am being treated for Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia and my go wants me to increase those meds which are:

Tegratol

Tramadol

Pregablin

Paracetamol

Omeprazole for tummy

On others for asthma

And osteoarthritis diflofenic sodium slow release

But actually none for this..

Dr said up my pregablin to help me sleep but doesn't help the cause does it just more brain fog!

Healing hugs x

Thanks both, that's an interesting list. I am on gabapentin codeine tramadol lanzoprazole amitriptyline venlafaxine laxido declofenic

For fibro, costo chondritis and osteo I have Pregablin, Zapain which is actually Cocodamal 30/500mg and Nurofen. Intake alot of other meds for other illnesses. I think the Pregablin helps the most with the burning and shooting pains I get and Nurofen helps best with any inflammation. The cocodamal does help a bit with the pain but not as much as the other two. With all the meds I feel like a tube of smarties.

It is so difficult to find a set of drugs that help, have tolerable side effects and don't don't conflict with my other meds. Any form of antidepressants seem to be a no no with me. Have tried three different sorts and they have all had horrendous effects on me. Butrans patches ere good but unfortunately I was making inroads the adhesive and came out in ulcerated sores so had to drop them.x

Same here rose wine my bags are like a flaming pharmacy when I go to the chemist they just roll their eyes thinking wow this is going to take 20 mins of my time to sort all this out

I don't find pregabalin useful anymore my body became too used to it

The only thing that was good for me as a pain relief gel with Iburofen and menthol that I bought from the chemist, any other stuff from the doctors had side effects.

I did find that giving up dairy also reduced my pain, also Yoga and exercise help, if you are able to do any.

Take care

Me, I'm on - Pregabalin, Sertraline, Tramadol, and Amitryptiline.

My friend is on tons. I think she takes - Pregabalin, Tramadol, Sertraline, Omeprazole, Ivabradine, Methocarbamol, Dihydrocodeine, Mirtazapine, Fludrocortisone, Morphine ER, Diazepam, Midodrine and Cyclizine.

Some of hers are for different conditions I think though. Still a lot x

Yep we all are drugged up. I am sure I would fail a drugs test if ever I was given one! there is no flaming cure for this abhorrent illness
