This is our wonderful boy Benjamin, Cavalier King Charles at 14.5yrs. He and Pennydog go out first thing every morning for about an hour, then come in for breakfast.
This day, we had a terrific thunderstorm, lots of lightening and really loud thunder claps. But poor Ben is stone deaf, so heard nothing.
Pennydog came in, drenched, so towelled off and paws washed, but no sign of Ben. Eventually he was found here, tucked up under the hedge, the rain missing him completely, fast asleep and bone dry. OH got soaked looking for him, but couldn't tell him off, he was in his world.

What a wonderful picture it seems like being deaf has its advantages. My friend says it has as she can just zone out if someone is droning on and when they say she hasn't been listening she can say her hearing aid is playing up.x
