So much pain
Hi Willow53
I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling in this way and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution to this issue. I have pasted you an excerpt from *WebMD to an issue that I suffer with:
*Leg Weakness and Back Pain
Many people with low back pain feel as if their legs are weak. They will still have normal strength in their leg muscles, but moving their legs usually causes discomfort and gives them a sense of weakness.
True leg weakness leaves you unable to use some of your leg muscles normally. This can happen when a herniated disc presses on the nerve roots that make up the sciatic nerve. Pressure on the nerve interferes with its ability to control the leg muscles.
I have a compressed sciatic nerve and I have the exact same problems as what is in the *WebMD excerpt. I do not know if this is what is affecting you as I am not a doctor but it is a starting point for discussion with your GP? I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Sorry to hear about your pain.I have it due to fracture. My pain Dr. said if you don't walk, stand etc. equally on both kegs can cause back pain as I have it as well.Just a thought.Peck
If you have had problems for years it could mean that your leg muscles are not so strong. Hence the feelings of weakness. Even with back pain and fibromyalgia it should be possible to do some exercises to strengthen them. Speak to your GP about a physio appointment or get one privately.

I have suffered with this for many years and had to star using a wheel chair about 15 years ago because of the problem. I had xrays and Mri done back in 2014 . While it showed OA in my lower spine the main reason was put down to my fibro. It seems to be quite common in fibro people to have this problem so I was told. xx
Have you ever consulted a chiropractor about your back pain? I see mine regularly, it isn't cheap, but he keeps me mobile. I also do some Yoga, which helps to strengthen the muscles and keep them flexible. It needs to be gentle Yoga though, just stretching breathing and easy poses. In some areas they offer Yoga done from a chair, so that it's easier for those of us with problems. Hope you find something to help your pain.
So sorry to hear you're in so much pain, I hope you can get some answers and releaf soon. sending soft gentle Hugs.
Hi
I have suffered from low back pain intermittently for as long as I can remember. So on my first visit to see Dr Peatfield I told him and his immediate reply was that it was the adrenals that were causing it. I have Hypothyroidism and fibro and on his recommendation as part of my hypo treatment I have taken Nutri Adrenal extra now since November and have had very few days with any low back pain.My symptoms were much like yours often affecting my legs.
Good luck
My symptoms exactly, be interested in what others have to suggest.
Hi I also suffer with terrible low back pain & can hardly walk with the pain. I saw my Dr yesterday as he wanted to warn me that taking anti inflammatories such as naproxen or ibuprofen can put you at high risk of heart attack & stomach ulcers ! He would not continue to prescribe them until he had warned me ! I have been taking them for years on a repeat script !
He told me to do yoga instead but I am in so much pain ...I did ask for an mri scan but he said what was the purpose ? I told him that my rheumatologist said I should be referred to see a neurologist but he said are 'you sure she didn't say phsycologist ?' I am no longer under the rheumatologist as she has referred me back to the G.P
I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia since 2012 although I feel I have had it for the past 25 yrs. I don't think they know what to do with us. I am so glad of this site to read others suffer the same as myself & what advice people offer. I have just read about nutri adrenal extra that another member has advised ...I shall look into ordering some of that in the hope it helps me as I don't think my G.P can. Hope you find relief soon
