I feel bad for just writing this post, because FibroAction is so cheerful and jokey, and I don't want to drag anyone down with my moaning. But this post is actually Fibro related for what it's worth, all be it gloomy, I'm sorry
I have really painful points around my waist, lower back, hips and thighs, that a few years ago a Physio described as trigger points, the an orthapoedic surgeon as bursitis and tendonitis, but now I'm told it's just pain and nothing can be done. My new orthapoedic surgeon says that thinking has moved on about bursitis etc and they generally just consider it to be a painful joint now. I'm struggling because I used to be given injections of anaesthetic and steroid into the bursa or tendon sheath depending on the site of the pain which gave some immediate relief, but now apparently they don't do anything like that. My hip and thigh is so sore that when someone brushed past me in the shop earlier, barely touching, it made me cry out with pain. I just cannot bare the thought of life with daily pain like this if they are saying they no longer treat it. does anyone else suffer with this, and get relief from it?
