I have found that when I havea cold (and I have a lot) that my pain gets a lot worse and my cold seems to go on forever.

I just wondered if any one else gets this and is there anything that helps?

Thanks

Pam

Oh yes. No magic formula just drink lots warm drinks and try to get as much rest as can.

I prefer to have fresh lemons and the best honey can afford with hot water, windows open and wrap up with hot water bottles, good movie and dark chocolate to suck helping the throat.

Not to get rid of a cold but I have found that the stuff you spray up your news helps me not to catch one in the first place.

Kitty's solution sounds good even if you do not have a cold.

Hi Pamg

I am so sorry to read that you are suffering with a cold at this time, and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to the issue. I am not a doctor, but I always think that Fibro and our medications leave us vulnerable to picking things up like viruses, and then we cannot get rid of them. That's what I believe anyway?

I want to wish you all the best of luck.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Yes colds and viruses seem far worse and last forever. However after my usual hot lemon and Manuka honey was not working as well last winter I tried bee propolis Tincture tincture. It tastes vile but it works.

I had a long chat with a bee keeper who explained that it is a natural anti bacterial and works better as a tincture rather than capsules as some of the healing properties are lost when made in capsules.

If you want any more information please let me know.

Hope you feel better soon.

Kind regards

Yes, definitely. My skin starts to become very sensitive. I have found taking a multivitamin helps stop me getting colds so there must must be something lacking in the diet. I have found it helps to keep warm and gentle exercise like short walks, just to keep everything moving helps.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hello Pamg, when I get this I use the hot cold drinks in Blackcurrant flavour. These have paracetamol in them and the warmth helps relax, and the paracetamol works on the aches and pains, and I usually nod off for a while, and then feel better later. I hope you feel better soon, well before the guy in the red suit arrives, ttfn
