Catching a cold when you have fibro - turns out it’s COVID fml

Do you find that when you catch a cold you are affected much worse than other people around you? I never get ‘just a sniffle’. I always say I’m a woman who gets man flu. My partner went to work right through his cold even though he felt quite rough. I just got up to make a drink and dragging my body round was so exhausting. I’m back in bed aching all over and my knee pain has flared up waking me up in agony when I finally managed to get some sleep last night.

UPDATE It’s COVID! I’ve never caught it before. No doubt because the government decided that over 50s don’t get boosters any more.

Hi there, I do agree us Fibro s seem too take a hit, where all my other friends are bouncing back this week after the usual cold virus etc I’m left with Chronic fatigue days after, feel everything is soooo much effort 🙁and so behind with everything now, I’m Mrs Grinch as so frustrated because of the time of year . My bath is my best friend and I cannot wait for my evening soak at the moment, it’s dam cold outside and very dreary weather. So the lights on the Xmas tree giving the house some cheer. Take it day by day and I hope you pick up very soon xx
