Alternative therapy

Hi everyone

I had my first session of Bodytalk yesterday. This is an alternative therapy based on the theory that stresses etc can cause poor communication between the body's cells. It's non invasive and is just different tapping on parts of the body. The therapist was able to tell me things that she couldn't possibly have known like my right knee is worse than my left. At one point I was even crying. Apparently I will need another 4 sessions maximum.

Don't know if anyone else has tried this but thought I would share. I will keep you posted.

Incidently, I am on amitriptyline and loads of supplements from a well known healthfood store....... magnesium, Co enzyme Q10, Super One formula vitamins and MSM.

Hi LC,

Good luck with the new therapy.

One observation;,,,, you mention Magnesium from a well known health food store,,,,I am guessing it will probably be Magnesium Oxide,,,,,, read the small print!

This is a little better than Epsom Salts and is tolerated only slightly better. You will also be paying through the nose,, for what it is,,, in those shops,, even if it is the buy one get one free scam.

A much nicer and better form is Magnesium Citrate,, it is better tolerated and more bio available (easily absorbed in the body)

You will find it easy at online at auction sites,,,, look for Magnesium Citrate Powder,,,,,capsules are a rip off when you look at how little is in them,,, this is one of the reasons they like to write the label in Mg.

1 Gram

1000 mg

1000000mcg or Ug are all the same amounts but it looks like your getting something if the can add all the zeros,, it's just another mind trick.

I mix 1 THIRD of a teaspoon in half a glass of water 2 to 3 times daily ,morning, through the day, and an hour before bed. 1/3 Tsp is about 1 1/2 Grams. Stir it up and drink while in motion. Adjust dose according to toleration, and how you feel, if you get a loose stool cut back,, muscle cramps and tightness step it up,,,,,simple.

Tastes fine and you will be much better off in your purse and for Magnesium.

If your using Vit D make sure it is D3.

D3 is produced from algae and is not synthetic,, the D form is the synthetic stuff and toxic.

Best wishes, Ray

Hi there

Thanks for this. Sounds very interesting. Would love to try it myself but having had to take ill health retirement early cos of the impact of the fibro and therefore on tight budget now. Shame.

Would love to know how you get on with the 'therapy'.

Take care. xLyn
