Hello everyone,

I hope you are all feeling well.

Today,I went to see a Doctor who specialises in Chinese Medicine. I was told, amongst other things, that I suffered from 'damp' - not my house, me personally. I was then given acupuncture, which I love, followed by a deep muscle massage. The massage was rougher than I thought it would be but it really worked. My leg muscles had relaxed and were no longer hard and painful to move.

I decided that I wanted to know what 'damp' is so I found the link below on-line.

I read through the whole of the section about 'damp' and then through the links.

There are so many things that I suffer from as part of my fibromyalgia, peripheral neuropathy and CFS which are mirrored in the explanation of 'damp' that I thought you all might be interested in this article. I found it extremely interesting to read about an alternative way to treat my physical problems other than taking traditional Western medicines.

Please note that the prices quoted in the link below are not a reflection of all Chinese Medicine. I would recommend contacting a few establishments before deciding which to use, if any.

I hope you enjoy the article linked below

I don't think I could handle the roughness! A to tell the truth needles don't thrill me. One to many test done. I already get stuck with needles enough! My problem is I am extremely sensitive. Otherwise sometimes the wind blowing over certain spots hurt! I am a big chicken when it comes to a lot of things. I have been tested since I was 7 years old and now at 50 it's only if it has to be done!!!

I tried accupuncture but it didn't help, sadly it increased my pain levels. I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with this.

All my hopes and dreams for you

I am going to try a series of massages- to see if it helps my back/shoulders- and my legs. Today I see my orthopedic surgeon for the results of my neck/spine MRI And then I have an abdominal ultrasound next week( let's hope it is just fibroids- again). I have good bits of the day but the skin burning feeling is increasing and the right leg tingling really drive me crazy.

Hello everyone, Yes, the link was removed however, if you PM me I can send the link to you. I don't know if you can see earlier replies on my page when you PM me but I shall leave the link there for those who want to see it. Sorry for any confusion caused.

I am also very sorry for those of you who have tried acupuncture and it didn't work but I thought that a look at alternative treatments, not just acupuncture, may be interesting, even beneficial to someone.

Take care everyone

Love Sx
