Fibro is listed as being one of the conditions that can be helped by craniosacral therapy - has anyone tried it?

I've just taken a look at that, it said not suitable for some people. I have a brain aneurysm so would be dangerous for anyone who had such things. But I do hope you have success with it, something I probably would have tried but for the brain thing. x

Reading further this is a scam to get you money, that is my personal feeling. It has no scientific basis and the regulation appears pretty poor. xx

I had not come across this so had a brief look, then looked at the links you and desquinn had mentioned and looked at a few others. It does look dangerous for some people especially for those with any undiagnosed neurological conditions. x

I have tried it ...and my daughter ,when she was 7 yrs old , I said basics before we went , how would you explain it , and she said after " I feel brand new , like I've just been born 🤗😲.clearly all depends on your condition.

Just the I'd share X

I had it for PTSD...and pain

Thanks for all the comments - it seems a fairly new thing, so just thought I’d ask around lol! Not sure yet if I want to try it - food for thought x

I took my daughter for craniosacral treatment when she was a baby (years ago now). She was about 4 weeks old. She'd had a very rapid, induced birth, and was constantly crying and unsettled as if in pain. I felt she could have a bad headache, although of course she couldn't tell me.

At the first appointment, the treatment seemed very gentle and non-invasive, but my daughter seemed to relax into it. Once home, she was a different baby - settled, content and sleeping/feeding better. We had one more appointment a week later, just to check all was well, and that was it. The improvement held and her symptoms didn't come back.

I've had regular Craniosacral Therapy in the past and it has always resulted in me feeling less anxious, more relaxed and balanced after each session. It depends what you're going for and your expectations. The person I was seeing was great and understood Fibro. The only reason I stopped going was the long drive to my appointments and the expense. I'm looking for someone I trust nearer to my home and perhaps not go every week. Give it a try go with an open mind.

Yes I have. It's really relaxing but I still have fibro and all the same symptoms and intensity. For me it was more about wanting a very gentle manipulation for my neck but I would have had the same effects but not as gentle from seeing a regular osteopath.
