White stuff on tongue
Hi there csav, like you I would assume it would be thrush, I had it once when I was very unwell and they gave me Nystan (I think that's the right name, it's so long ago ) which made me heave every time I put it in my mouth. Just a thought, have you tried scraping the white stuff off your tongue either with a tooth brush or with something else capable of getting it off . However, I am very pleased that you are going to be checked up at the hospital, I really hope they get to the bottom of it and make you feel much better !!
Sending lots of positive healing vibes your way
Foggy x
Hi csav73
I am so sorry to read about your issue, and it is not something that I have experienced. I want to wish you all the best of luck with finding some resolution and relief to this issue.
All my hopes and dreams for you

I get it & i thought it was to do with either medication I get dry mouth too when I get up in the morning like I've been snoring my gums bleed for no reason too but I have the dentist today so I will ask hope you get sorted xxx
Didn't they used to call this coated tongue? If you're going for tests then they must be unsure and I cant help over the ether. I hope you get the resolution you need.
Hi,
I suffer with this on/off. Told whilst in hospital it was severe thrush/Candida which is very hard to clear.
This can actually go right through your body and in severity can effect sufferers badly.
Perhaps the hospital will take a swab to get a defininate diagnosis. Do let us know... wishing you well.
X
Thanks all for advice☺
Sweetheart, it's probably thrush but please see a doctor asap it can turn into cancer. I have it in my esophagus and 3 doctors are stumped as to why. Hope you get rid of it!!! xxxx Mitzi
Had similar, very difficult to get rid of, may be related to meds. There are several anti-fungals and you might have to try a couple. As I am also on warfarin, there aren't many I could use. Found that tongue scrapping does help. Unfortunately, the GP I saw doesn't believe in systematic candida infection so refused to check for it (he took some persuading to even run a thrush test!). Hope you get answers at the hospital.
