Hi I had my blood tests done last week, everything was fine apart from my white blood cells count the nurse said they are 2.3 there normal should be 4.6 what does this mean how can I get them up.
She was clueless hence why I am writing here to get some help xx

Basically it could be as simple as a lab error or how the blood was stored. If there had been any concerns about the result then you would have had repeat bloods taken.
I have psoriasisarthritis and have the same problem, other results are fine but my white blood cells count have consistently been low throughout the years which indicate an autoimmune reaction , according to my reuma. I have fibro too, and I believe that fibro is autoimmune disease. Or at least, for some people, evolves into an autoimmune disease.
My white blood cell tests are consistently on the low side - have been for a while now. I also have fibro and some kind of inflammatory arthritis maybe - that's what the last rheumy said. I agree with previous poster I think fibro will eventually be found to be an auto-immune disease - when research catches up with it.
