biting my tongue!!!!

I have developed a new problem, I keep biting the side of my tongue particularly mid speech! Anyone any ideas?

i thought it was only me that that its really annoying as it really is painful i also had to remove my stud as my tongue kept swelling but not dangerously that might be why we keep biting it its bigger than its supposed to be i never thought about it till i read your blog the only thing i could advise is to keep some bongela teething gel about that's good for pain in the mouth

I have been biteing my tongue and my gums for the last few years, when talking and even eating, my gums are always so sore aswell as my tongue, i use a a mouthwash/gargle from my GP up to 4/5 times aday and it also helps with the constant sore throat it's called "Difflam Oral Rinse" ...... I have also been grinding my teeth for years when i am sleeping.

OMG I thought it was just me !!! Sorry if that sounds selfish but this has been freaking me out for ages, so it is a relief to know that others are suffering too...So maybe it is to do with the fibro after all?

I bite my tongue. Sides, front,.underneath. when i sleep, talk, eat and when i least expected.

Oh my goodness I did this last night twice in the same place and made it bleed, very sore today especially when eating. Don't tell me this is another thing to put up with!!

I said to the girls at work that I must have been eating in my dreams!!

i've been having the same problem, always in the same place and its more painful each time i do and always with a sharp part of my teeth, its not fun

I have the same problem tongue swells happen right after dental cleaning they say nothing to do with dental say dry mouth. Gone two pcp gave me duke magic for seeing comes and goes mid speech like too big for my mouth. Driving me crazy burning too sometime. Changed meds. I'm just tired. Notice this 8years ago any results ????
