Hi girls so I'm a doing a medicated fet after 3 natural fets haven't worked. I just finished taking a week of norethisterone and have been injecting buserelin fir few days... this morning a letter arrives fir me to get a pre op assessment for a hysteroscopy on the NHS ( I applied a long long time ago to try and get one as ivf wasn't working) the pre op is 2nd Sept so guessing op will follow that shortly afterwards. I'm so torn now don't know weather to delay this cycle and get the hysteroscopy to rule out anything that's stopping it working, I have a small fibroid and cyst that can be seen I'm scan. Is it sensible to stop and get this done as I may not get another chance on NHS for a long time or do I just carry on and hope this medicated cycle works. I don't want to waste my last good embryo (I have 2 lower grades left after that). I'm so upset this has happened right when I have started meds it's so frustrating. How long after hysteroscopy can you do another fet?? I would really appreciate some help thankyou

I had hysteroscopy while I was on down regulations (on birth control pills), so didn't stop my IVF cycle and we been actually successful, we are 25 weeks pregnant now 😁❤️🥳. It is actually recommended to be on pills while having hysteroscopy for a better visibility. I also called my clinic panicking that they are too close together and they told me that is fine. Worth to speak with your clinic for an advice but is possible to go ahead with both. Good luck 🤞♥️
Thankyou so much for your reply... sods law waited over a year for appointment and the letter arrives a week into meds typical. So hard to ever know what's the best thing to do,did you get a general fir yours as I just rang the NHS and she said I'm getting general but actual op could be ages away . Waiting on a call back from my clinic to see what they say x
We started without anesthesia and then doctor found micropolyps so he performed polypectomy with local anesthesia. I had it done on a private clinic as on NHS waiting list was too long 52 weeks 😤. It will be great to have hysteroscopy first to rule out possible impediments but waiting again for IVF cycle is mad 🙄😌 Take care 💕🤗
As the previous post says best check with your clinic before deciding what your next step will be Good luck

Hi, I've just had a similar dilemma. I was days away from starting the IVF drugs when I got the letter. I decided to push on with the cycle and delay the hysteroscopy, one of my reasons for this was that we had already had months of delays to our IVF and I was just wanting to press on. Its a very personal decision and there is not necessarily a right or wrong, I agree with previous posters and would seek advice from your clinic. X
Hello. I just had a hysteroscopy and biopsy done to rule out any possible problems before my next FET. The imagery doesn't look amazing, my endometrium has been judged not very smooth and a bit rough . My doctor says that there is no scientific evidence that these 'cosmetic' appearance of endometrium is problematic for FET. The biopsy didn't show any sign of endometrite chronic so my doctor said that we were good to go. There is also a theory that says that a biopsy is the equivalent of a scratch so with slightly better chance of implantation (although lots of UK clinic would propose this there is no scientific evidence). In short, my clinic is completly fine in starting a new FET the cycle after the hysteroscopy and biopsy.
