Hysteroscopy!?

Hi ladies,

Today I have had a appointment with my consultant to ask questions as we have had a fresh and frozen cycle fail I asked to see if I could go onto the clomid tablets as I don’t ovulate and my partner has low sperm just want to see if we can do it naturally! She is totally fine with prescribing me the tablets but didn’t know why our last two cycles failed? She said our eggs was grade B which is good and she wants to do a Hysteroscopy to see what’s going on? I’m abit anxious over this but I want to know what’s going off in there has anyone had any similar experiences? I’m going to start the clomid after this procedure has been done hopefully🤞🏻 thanks ladies

I’ve had about five hysteroscopies! 😂 they are a doddle! They normally do them under general anaesthetic and all it normally is is a camera having a good look around although they sometimes treat things if they see them there and then. I’ve had a septum removed, fibroids shaved off etc

Don’t worry about having one at all, it’s a great way to tick off the ‘my womb looks fine’ box or start to fix anything that doesn’t look fine which is positive progress

Good luck xx

She said after that I may conceive naturally which I hope is the case xx

Hi Jess. it is what I would recommend, as we get to see the whole of your womb to check out any "blips" and and endometrial biopsy too. Hope it goes well if you do decide to go ahead. Diane

Hi there. I'd definitely go with the hysteroscopy. Always good to get as much info as possible about your womb! I had one 2 weeks ago after 3 failed FET and they found a polyp and removed it and gave me a light "clean up". The period I had afterwards was great...no clots! So if what they did helps me then it was worth it. I had a general anesthetic so felt nothing. Had period cramps and light bleeding for a day and was fine then the next day and went to work. You've nothing to lose and everything to gain by doing it. I wish you the best of luck and hope it helps you x

Sorry to hear that! did they take the polyp away when looking inside or did they go back to do it? & have they said the polyp was the reason your embryos didn’t take? X

They took it away while they did the hysteroscopy. They couldn't say whether it did impact previous FET but it's gone now so definitely won't be impacting the next one! I'm kinda glad they found something. Physiologically I think now it's gone then I have a great chance next time. Our next FET is 2 weeks time. I'm 45 so using donor eggs.

X
