Buserelin

Hi all, day 1 of Buserelin injection this morning. The injection site is red and itchy, is this normal? Any tips going forwards would be really appreciated too - nerves are a lot! Thank you.

I wonder if anyone can help me with my query.I was previously prescribed buserelin for my first round of IVF, but ovulated prior to egg collection :-( . Subsequent rounds used fyremadel. I am now starting my first FET and have been prescribed it again.

hi, I’m really suffering side effects from Buserelin - exhausted, achey, cramps, no concentration and also so emotional, just keep crying for no reason. Did anyone else experience this? Can’t remember this from other cycles. In a predicament about work as was a complete write off today

So they gave me Buserelin to try to shut off my own hormones and take control with medication so I could do another cycle in Nov. But I developed estrogen cysts on both ovaries from the Buserelin, so we cancelled everything and waited for the cysts to pass.

I had my first round of IVF before Xmas:10 days of Buserelin then added 12 days Gonal- F: 8 eggs retrieved , double transfer but failed. At 7 days of Gonal F my scan showed 15 follicles, they reduced to what we were expecting (7-10 based on AFC) by egg retrieval.

The only difference in this round for me is triggering with Zivafert alongside Buserelin. Do you think this is a strange coincidence?

Hi on cycle attempt 7 here, first time ever with Buserelin given from day 21 for down reg. however I’m now on day 31 and still no sign of my period. The clinic said to call to arrange a scan for day 3. Has anyone done this before? How long did you take Buserelin?

I’ve now started another cycle, currently on day 6 of down reg using Buserelin. This will be my last collection. Plan is to down reg for a few months before any transfer .

On the trasnfer day, I got trigger injection Buserelin. i have been getting positive lines from Day 5 from light lines to current day progressing to darker lines now am worried that it might be due to buserelin that am getting positive result can anyone help me?

I took Buserelin as my trigger. Can anyone explain if this would the beginning of a new cycle? I’ve had to freeze all due to OHSS. Any information on withdrawal bleeds and periods after egg collection would be greatly appreciated.

I had a fresh transfer during my first cycle so wasn’t really aware of the timings for an FET, which seems miles away: I haven’t had my withdrawal bleed yet and have to wait for next cycle, then start injecting buserelin from day 21….

This time we did oestrogen priming ( which did seem to get us more even growth and more eggs) and short protocol Pergoveris (300 FSH 150 LH) and Ganirelix then double trigger HCG 5000 and buserelin. I wonder if the LH use for first time in this protocol didn’t do my egg quality any favours?

Hi I'm currently doing the above nasal spray for my down regulation as I was told there is a nationwide shortage of buserelin which I used in my first cycle. I started on Saturday 4th May and was told I should get a period in around a week but still no period or signs of it.

Hi, I have been exposed to chicken pox a lot whilst taking my buserelin for my down regulation. I have a scan on Friday to check how my down regulation is going. I will inform them of the chicken pox but just wondered if people thought it would impact this cycle.

Hi all, I'm on day 7 stims (buserelin/ovaleap) and feel like I might be getting ill. Slight headache, sore chest etc. Should I be worried about this affecting treatment? And any suggestions for what i can take to help? Thank you

We are leaning more towards medicated which entails Prostap, Progynova, Buserelin & Cycolgest. Curious if anyone else has experienced this and what to expect?? TIA ❣️

I normally have Buserelin but there’s a shortage . Doctor or nurse will be giving it to me later today, is it really awful , is there a massive difference between zoladex and prostab? And any tips / advice? Thanks

I’m starting my third round of IVF next Monday & this time they have changed my meds from Buserelin & Menopur to Syneral & Meriofert. Just wondering if anyone else has made this switch & what results they saw? Thanks.
