Luteinizing hormone (LH) test

I do have a regular cycle again now and have all symptoms of ovulation and positive LH test and every month around 4 days after ovulation, I start spotting. It isn’t alot only very slight mixed with some discharge and then I start getting cramps up until my period.

If it is when LH starts to rise that (which is what the Clearblue test measures) then the 'surge' was Sunday, and if it is the peak/when the two lines on the LH strip are the same colour then it was Monday. This will determine when the transfer is and I don't want to get the timing wrong!

Hey, I m due to start my next cycle and was asked to track ovulation from cycle day 10, I am on cycle day 12 and still no LH Surge, should I be worried?

Mechanism: Estrogens suppress LH production (alternative way to lower androgens) and also directly induce apoptosis in prostate cancer cells via estrogen receptor-beta. They can modulate AR co-regulators and reduce AR protein levels.

This cycle just been, didn’t have an LH surge and got my period after just 2 weeks. Period was full and normal length. Had a baseline scan day 3 as we were expecting to start an ivf cycle at my next period (but obviously put it back due to unusually short cycle).

The results comparing tE2 + ARPI agents to LHRHa + ARPI agents were presented at the ASCO meeting in February, 2025. I have taken few ovulation tests, just curious on how my body is doing and I'm saying very very low LH levels. In one test it came out to be 0. Is this something normal? This is all very new to me so I want to make it make sense.

My LH is starting to increase but there’s no hope of falling pregnant in 2024. So please, only take Zoladex if you’re not planning to have kids anytime soon.

I am on day 31 now (13 days after stopping oestrogen) of the same cycle and I did an at home ovulation test and found out that I have an LH surge. I went in for a scan today and blood tests - confirmed that I am about to ovulate!

I've not been tracking my ovulation with LH testing as we're doing IVF for male factor fertility but normally I get similar discharge to this a few days prior to ovulating (minus the blood).

Typically, I would now be in the beginning of my fertile period, but my LH tests are very low - My GP warned me my cycle may be off.

She did not feel this would be suitable as i struggle to get LH peak on ovulation test. 3. PGT testing embryos (£4,000 - yikes!) 4. ERA + Emma & Alice. She was very convincing and agreed for option 4, but since the appt i have done lots of research and its less than positive about ERA testing.

In the last 2 months since after the third cycle I have been using the OPK that shows surge in both LH and estrogen - nothing last month (though I did use a slightly old test) and this month I’m on Day 15 with nothing showing on the tests.

Hi, I'm doing a natural cycle this month and technically I'm supposed to be ovulating like today according to my app but nothing is showing up on the clear blue ovulation test.

Currently CD21, my LH level was 20 however estrogen level is 1 only. Plan for next bloods on Wednesday and probably embryo transfer after. endometrium lining 12 as per today’s scan. How important is estrogen level for implantation ? My fertility clinic is not much concerned about it.

Since 9th August my LH kit is showing spike and is always above 1. Today (day16) checked pregnancy test and it shows positive. I am not sure whether pregnancy test is false positive and not sure why my lh is always high. It never happened in my prev cycles. Did anyone had similar experience ?

It’s been 36 hours now but no LH surge . Should it show up? Checked HCG strip which is positive, which I presume means the trigger is defo present in my body . Any advice or knowledge appreciated.

I'm in the UK if that helps Has anyone done a natural cycle and didn't wait until the LH peak to trigger? Only by what the scan showed? Thank you!
