Which day of your cycle did you have DE embryo transfer?

I'm on a protocol where i'm on 2mg Progynova 3 times a day then will add progesterone in on the day of egg retrieval. However, i will be on day 27 of my cycle when EC takes place so I'm a bit worried 1) that AF might turn up beforehand and 2) that i'll have embryo transfer on day 32 of my cycle which seems like totally the wrong time. Has my clinic got this right?! Any advice will be great. Thanks

Hiyah, I really worried about this also. I was told that the key thing is that you need to have the 5 days of taking the progesterone and that the day itself doesn't matter if you are having a medicated cycle. I'm not very good at explaining the science sorry. x

Thanks for replying! My clinic doesn’t really give me reasons behind the protocols and it’s difficult as I’ve done IVF cycles before which have been different. I should probably stop trying to compare all the time!

I did actually think that it depends on the timing of the progesterone myself too after having read the effects of Progynova. I feel better knowing that there is a rationale to this plan so thank you. Hope all is going well for you! X

If you’re taking progynova and using cyclogest then forget your cycle. These drugs will stop your period from coming for as long as you are taking them and just maintain the conditions in your uterus and support a pregnancy. Just keep your fingers crossed and don’t even think about your natural cycle. Good luck xx
