Lining issues

Hello folks. I’m just back from second scan after 10 days of stims. Follicles are growing nicely (had none over 10 on Monday and now we have 8!) despite being in low dose of bemfola. My lining, as usual, is not playing ball. It is currently 5mm. Looking back at my previous two cycles this is about right. I asked about having extra support with lining with vagifem or progynova but was told that wasn’t appropriate as it would like counteract the bemfola, particularly given the lose dose. We are scanning again on Monday with a view to egg collection at some point next week. I think he drs are leaning towards a freeze all cycle which sounds like the best plan. Problem is I’ve never had anything to freeze😬 the idea is that the lower dose will be kinder to my eggs and hopefully (🤞) increase quality. My question is, does anyone know if it is possible to add oestrogen after egg collection for the three or five days before transfer and whether that could be enough to increase my lining? Having not made it to transfer last cycle, I would live to get that far this time x

Uurgghh I feel your pain! Im struggling to get my lining to thicken for FET. I had the same issue as you in one of my cycles and obviously the longer you take the stims, the theory is that the lining should respond in line with your follicle growth. Unfortunately I cant offer much hope as when I had thin lining I had to freeze all and got told there was nothing I could try. Not that I would go by what my clinic told me....I would push you clinic for a bit more info on Monday and ask if taking estrogen is an option alongside progesterone after egg collection. Progesterone should also help your lining thicken in theory too so they can maybe let you go onto progesterone only and prepare for transfer and if not freeze at that point?xx

Thanks Cinderella! It’s so frustrating, isn’t it. When are you due your FET? Have you got much to go? I had vagifem last cycle and it did stunt the growth of the follicles a bit (mostly I think because the nurse told me to take twice as much as I was supposed to!). That led them to up my stims which I think nuked my eggs! In the meantime I am munching Brazil nuts and drinking pomegranate juice likes it’s going out of fashion x

Im hoping to have transfer on 31st July so a bit of time to go yet but lining isnt playing ball....same as last time. My last scan was 6.5mm on Monday and today 6.7mm and thats taking estrogen! Yes I dont think the eggs do well with too much stims! Fingers crossed we both get there! Im getting shed loads of beetroot juice on the way home to mix with pomegranatexx

Hopefully you’ll get there! The dr said to me today they needed it to be 6mm but when I was at my last clinic they showed me stats for lining and the success rates were really poor @ 6mm. The difference that 1mm made was amazing. Ideally I’d like to get at least 7mm for transfer as I think 8mm is impossible for me. Good luck c

On my last FET my lining was around 7.4mm when I got go ahead last time. but by the time of transfer with progesterone it continued to thicken to 9.3mm so if your clinic allows you to prepare for transfer it may still thicken....with the option of last minute cancelling!xx
