Vagifem

Does anyone use Vagifem? If so, I wondered if you’d be so kind as to share your experience of its impact please? Please PM if you wish it to remain private - I understand it is a intimate area! Thank you! 🤸🏿‍♀️🥛

There is light at the end of the tunnel…

I was finally diagnosed and prescribed Vagifem. However, I stopped using them after 6 months as I kept getting urinal tract infections. I’m happy to say the bleeding has practically stopped on its own now ( altho I have been menopausal for nearly 14 years!)

Lidocaine for vulvodynia and vestibulitis

I don't know if it's a skin or nerve problem but if I have virtually constant pain some days are worse than others and the skin breaks easily and gets extremely painful and I have had a 3 month course of Vagifem and still use vaginal moisturisers but nothing seems to help much.

Update on oestrogen treatment for non absorption of liothyronine. A warning!

I then asked if I could increase vagifem as my thyroid was not improving. For a couple of week, I used four a week instead of two. I developed many signs of high oestrogen - freezing cold feet being the most obvious. I stopped using vagifem.

? If going back on HRT will help me?

About 4 years ago I started Vagifem because of recurrent cystitis, urine infections, which has helped a lot. All thoughts on my medical problems would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Liquid levothyroxin

He has just agreed for me to increase vagifem from twice a week to four times a week. Even so, it is such a minimal amount of oestrogen, I fear it'll take years for me to get better - even assuming that's the answer. Any help or advise is greatly appreciated.

Exhaustion

My blood tests have been good ( for me) over the past year: TSH - 0.8 T4 - 16.4 T3 - 5.0 Vit D - 98 B12 - 644 Folate - 11.7 Recently I have been started on topical estrogen (Vagifem). Since this I have progressively felt more and more tired.

Vaginal pain after smear test

Doctor prescribed Vagifem and has referred me to gynaecologist but don’t know when this would be because of COVID-19. Doctor said yesterday that cervix looked a bit red and inflamed and I wondered if this may be the cause of me up every hour during the night to pee.

Problems started after UTI. Successfully treated infection, but since then vaginal burning and urinary frequency, but no stinging.

Doc diagnosed vaginal atrophy, and have been taking vagifem for three months, but still have background burning/sensitivity, which I never experienced before UTI. Re-test for infection negative. Would go to GP if essential, but not easy in current circs.
