I had my first laparoscopy (and excision of endo) three weeks ago this coming Monday. I came on my period four days after surgery. It's now day 17 and I'm going crazy. It's not particularly heavy I'm - not using tampons of course, and the blood is only there in my urine and when I wipe (though there's always quite a lot). They changed my copper coil for mirena during the lap. Had anyone else experienced this? Is it my body adjusting to the coil or is it the Surgery?
thanks
Chloe

Hi lovely, hope you're on the mend. I remember starting my period a week or so after my procedure and it lasted for about 6 days. I did have a few days of spotting after the procedure too, which I was told was normal. Have you spoken to your doctor? Xx
Hiya, still bleeding... Day 26 now. I need to speak to my doctor but annoyingly I've just moved so it's a new practice, but all my endo/gynie related stuff is with my old hospital but the new practice and the old hospital aren't linked. So I'm just waiting for a letter through following up my MRI. I thought bleeding for about a month was normal so I don't really know what's going on! Hope you're keeping well xx
Hiya! It's on and off but there's always something. Sometimes it's just very light spotting, sometimes it's full on but kinda closer to a light period. I'll try the doctor tomorrow. I'm not feeling good at all, I think I'm having my first flare-up (at least since diagnosis) thanks for your reply xx
Hiya loves, oh dear! What will they be doing then to help with that? No wonder you still feel unwell. Make sure you eat/ drink well and look after yourself xx
