Period after laparoscopy

Hi Everyone!

I had my laparoscopy back at the beginning of December for endometriosis.

Slightly panicking though as I haven’t had a period since. Pregnancy isn’t an option and can’t seem to get hold of anyone at the hospital who can help me.

Is this normal or should I be worried. It’s coming up to 2 months now 😔

Hey- I think it’s diff for everyone, I didn’t get a period for 3 months after my first lap. I’d wait another month and then maybe speak to dr if u don’t have one by then x

I agree with Rehanat, it can take a few months for your cycle to kick back in.

Hi, it's such a worrying time of uncertainty isn't it.

I think we are all different and if you are worried speak to your GP or keep trying to get an answer from the hospital.

I had a lap which converted into a c-section to remove bilateral ovarian cysts. My period didn't skip a beat, like clockwork, so we are indeed all different.

Did they fit you with a Mireya coil ? As I’ve had no periods since having one fitted during a lap last January 2018
