I had my laparoscopy about a month ago and they removed two large chocolate cysts and got rid the rest of the endo which was wide spread. I still haven't had my period yet? How long does it normally take to come back? I also can't be pregnant. TYIA

Period after laparoscopy?
I hope you are recovering well!! I am so glad you asked this as I am a week post op (same as you-2 cysts, endo removed but left Fallopian tube removed also) and was wondering the exact same. Hopefully someone will be able to help us x
Hi,
I had surgery back at the end of August. I too had cysts removed as well as my left tube as it was blocked and contorted. I also had a part bowel resection. My period was due the day after surgery. I had bleeding but no pain other than post surgery pain and I will never know if the bleeding was from the surgery or a period. The reason I say this is because a month later I had the strangest bleed more like what i awl says read about as implantation really light red almost pale pink and it was egg white like. Happened for two days or so then nothing. A month later similar again this time slightly redder more bloodlike consistency. After that back to normal. Touch wood I have maybe 1 hours worth of cramps before the bleeding starts and that’s about it. Before I would have had 8-10days of pain and cramps, constipation, lightheaded-ness and bathroom visits where I could be in there hours (wish I was exaggerating - I’m not).
I hope this is useful I got to 6/7weeks and thought I wasn’t having a period not realising they were just the polar opposite of what I was used too. They will come back just when you’re body is healed enough to handle it. Any questions I’ll try and help but good luck with your recovery and don’t be to hard on yourself you will get back to being you eventually. Trust me it will be worth it 😉♥️
